Downtown Loft vs. Beach House

Deciding on living downtown or by the beach is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make! There are a couple tie breakers that Kap and I are considering though. Obviously, downtown you get a little more square footage for your money. Where as the beach cities has the best amenity, the beach!

Is it bad to just settle the tie based on the interior options I have been considering between the two: Exposed brick downtown loft vs my sea breeze beach house?

I have been searching Pinterest and Instagram non stop and this is what I have fallen in love with so far!

Beach House

My inspiration for the beach house space is a very bright, clean, and comfortable concept, with hints of colors. I love focusing on tones of blues, reds, and yellows. I don't love it when spaces are too nautical themed, so I wanted to create a space that felt like the water, without being too obvious about it. I also wanted it to feel warm and comfortable, with a couple different textures of wood and fabric. Definitely interested in what you guys think, so please feel free to send me a DM or leave a comment below.

Downtown Loft

In the loft space I wanted to really take advantage of the floor to ceiling windows and natural lighting, by incorporating a slightly darker toned concept, with white bright accents. With so much natural and direct sunlight, it is such a great opportunity to create a moodier vibe, without it feeling like a dungeon. Playing off the exposed brick and cement flooring, with grey and neutral tones, is key for me in these spaces.

I wish being an interior designer mainly consisted of picking out images on Pinterest you liked... I could do that all day, everyday! Let me know what you think of the Loft spaces below!
